Pakistan’s 3G/4G Users and Mobile Penetration See Growth in January 2025

Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has reported an increase in 3G/4G users and mobile penetration in Pakistan during January 2025.
According to the latest data, the number of 3G and 4G subscribers rose from 138.496 million at the end of December 2024 to 139.95 million by the end of January 2025.
The monthly Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) penetration has increased from 56.58 percent by end December to 57.08 percent by end January.
Total teledensity , the number of connections for every hundred individuals in the country, increased from 80 percent by end December to 80.4 percent by end January.
The number of cellular subscribers increased from 193.308 million by end December 2024 to 194.508 million by end January 2025.
Jazz’s total count for 3G users remained zero by end January. Jazz 4G users increased from 50.061 million by end December to 51.552 million by end January.
Zong 3G subscribers decreased from 1.834 million by end December to 1.801 million by end January while the number of 4G users increased from 38.552 million by end December to 39.124 million by end January.
Telenor 3G subscribers decreased from 1.325 million by end December to 1.255 million by end January 2025 while the number of 4G users of Telenor increased from 25.428 million by end December to 25.675 million by end January.
Ufone 3G users stood at 1.946 million by end January compared to 1.997 million by end December. The number of 4G users of Ufone increased from 16.541 million by end December to 16.849 million by end January.
